*Photo shoot no-shows forfeit their deposit as a no-show fee, in order to re-book you have to pay full package price up front, not including the first deposit. No exceptions, policies subject to change.

FAQ

Q: What is included with the shoot?

A: If you look at the services page you will get a good idea of what is included!

Q: What should I do to prepare for the shoot?

A: You should come with CLEAN DRY HAIR and no make up. There will be an extra charge to blow dry your hair,

and if your hair is greasey your curls will not hold!

Your nails and toes should be painted to match in an era appropriate color. (You can't go wrong with reds or light pinks.)

Shave all areas that need shaving of course! Bring along any heels you own that are classic in style. I supply some shoes but I don't carry all sizes. Also bring along any outfits/lingerie of your own that you may want to include in your shoot. Bring along any garter belts and thigh highs you may own. You should also bring payment since it is due on the day of your shoot.

Q: Is there a deposit?

A: Yes, $50 if you are getting the $160 package, everything higher than the $160 package requires a $100 deposit. and is due on the date of your consultation. It is non-refundable. But it can be put towards a future shoot if you need to reschedule.

Q: Speaking of rescheduling, when should I let you know if I can't make it to the shoot?

A: 24 hour notice would be great, but I know things happen last minute. I ask that if you please let me know (even for consultations) that you cant make it as soon as possible. Especially when I have a hairstylist coming for your shoot.

Q: Can I bring a friend along to my shoot?

A: Yes you may! But please only one. I do ask that your friend DOES NOT try to control your posing. I don't mind if they make small suggestions, but you've hired me to make you look like a pin-up, not your friend. I know what i'm doing! Also your friend will not be allowed to pose in any photos with you. If you want to do photos with your friends you must sign up for a pin up party. Or plan something in advance with me.

Q: What if my friend and I want to do photos on the same day?

A: I do offer pin up parties and a best gal pal package. Please visit the services page for more info.

Q: Where are you located?

A: I have a home studio located on the south side of Lansing about five minutes from Celebration cinemas. I will send you my address once we book your consultation.

Q: Whoa, home studio?

A: Yes, as terribly talented as I may be, I'm not rich. My home studio does include my four furry cats and my wonderful husband. But no, he will not be there at any point during your shoot. My cats however will! If you have allergies please let me know! I can keep them out of the room and vacuum the house really well. Also the "pin up room" where you will be getting ready for your shoot is upstairs, the stairs are very tiny and the stairway is very narrow. So if you have any restrictions please let me know before your consultation.

Q: Why do I need a consultation?

A: Well you don't NEED a consultation. But if you are not very versed in pin up posing, hair and make up, and are planning on using my wardrobe at all in your shoot then I highly recommend booking one. If you are confident in your pin up knowledge and plan on bringing your own wardrobe we can talk about ideas and details through email. But you are still expected to pay your deposit two weeks before your shoot, or if the shoot is sooner, asap. Giving up your consultation will not lower the price. The consultation is free and a courtesy to prepare you for your shoot.

Q: Do you charge tax?

A: Nope! I provide a service,which isn't taxed in Michigan. The disc you get is considered a free gift.

Q: How should I pay you?

A: Cash & Checks, checks can be made out to Autumn Luciano Photography. Or paypal payments can be sent to me, talk to me for details on that.

Q: Do you take other types of photos?

A: Yes! I do weddings, family, almost anything! (Including vintage style kids and family portraits.)

Q: I want my photo taken but I don't want them to be displayed, is that okay?

A: Yes of course, I will only put your photos online if you sign a model release forum.

Q: What if I don't think i'm good looking enough for this?

A: Then don't do it! I do my best to make all my clients look amazing, and I will do the same for you. But I cannot fix a bad self image. Decadence Dolls must have a sense of self confidence or it will come across in your photos. You do not need to know anything about modeling. I can coach you through the whole thing. But you must practice before the shoot. Research pin up posing and facial expressions and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! It will make you 100% more confident. But keep in mind, this is suppose to be a fun experience, so if you relax and are not too serious, your photos will turn out beautifully.

Q: What happens if i'm sick or hung over?

A: RESCHEDULE. It will be obvious in your photos that you aren't at your best. And that's not what you want.

Q: I've got some of my grandmother's/mother's old stuff that would be great in your shoots, do you take donations?

A: Yes! I'm always very thankful for any donations in props or costumes that you would like to give.

Q: Do you photoshop the "bad" stuff out?

A: Yes I will clear up any skin flaws. You can point out certain marks that you would like to keep in your photos, Otherwise they will be edited out.

I cannot make you look thinner in photoshop with out making you look like a sideshow exhibit (which is fine if thats what you're going for!).

Q: Whats the deal on jewelry?

A: One set of earrings is fine. As long as they are period appropriate. All other piercings should be removed unless you are doing a more modern pin up shoot, or if they are fresh piercings, in which case I will edit them out. Avoid a lot of rings, and any sort of modern jewelry will not work if you are going for a classic pin up look.

Q: I really like your on-location photos, how do I get some of those?

A: Check out the pin-up days section to the left of this page. On locations shoots will be listed there as we book them. We do not do special trips for on locations at the moment.

Q: I've spread clothes all over your house! Do you need help cleaning up?

A: No, I know where everything goes and this is your day, you shouldn't be cleaning! I only ask that as you change outfits you re-hang-up the previous one.

Q: Can I bring a pet to be in my photos?

A: Yes, just please let me know in advance! Be sure to bring them in a crate. Or for dogs have a chain and collar so we can put them out backyard while we finish your photos.

Q: Can I bring my own music?

A: I'll admit, i'm a music snob. Anything period appropriate is fine. But anything else please leave for the ride home.

Q: Can I request a hairstylist?

A: You can request any of the hairstylist that i've worked with.

Q: Do you barter?

A: Yes, depending on what you are offering. I have all the hair cuts and dyes I need. But anything else feel free to email me. The worst I can say is no.
